Painting Practice Internship

I did a two month internship at painting practice studio, here is a bunch of stuffs I did there:

I worked on a future film project called "Dud" too by Hammer&Tongs studio (Directors of H2G2...), but i'm not authorized to communicate about it and show what I did for it. Sorry for that!

Some paintings I did at Painting Practice in my spare time. This is really quick paintings, so... still a little bit sketchy. It was a really good exercice for me, and I learned a lot of stuff about composition and realisation methods with German Casado and my Sensei grand master Atkinson. Their blogs hasn't been updated recently, but keep in touch with these guys, they're defenitely amazing!

And to finish some sketches I did in London, I didn't scan everything because I'm a little bit lazzy so ... more soon :)

Work Experience at Nexus Production

I went too month in London for an Internship at Nexus Production.
I worked on Fx&Mat's project during all my work experience. Especially on their new short movie project, I did some researsh for the set design/lighting... I'm not allowed to say more about the movie, but the idea and the story are really funny. It will be awesome!

Some set design for an aborted Film Project called "Creation". I worked on this project with David Calvet, Paolo Didier and the grand master Thibeau Clergue.
It was a nice Idea, a commun desire, I hope this movie will be something in the future. Maybe just a little scene, an animation test...
I worked on these illustrations 2008 summer, Characters are all designed and drew by Thibeau.

My second animation short for school. We had to create a 1 minute animation movie in cut paper. We were required to exploit the characteristics of paper and were free with the graphic design, scenario...
We had to present an initial written presentation of the film in front of a jury of teachers. Half of the class's projects were accepted.Therefore the students whose projects weren't chosen had to work with the students whose projects were. Mine was chosen.

We animated with cut paper, frame by frame, over 3 days.
I created all the images of the film, and my coworker (Clément Bréchot) all the sound effects. We worked with Victor Bérard (jeanthor@hotmail.com) for the soundtrack.

Eveil

This is my first animation movie. This project was presented as an entry for the contest set out by the french children's tv channel Canal J. The theme of the contest was: "Dans la lune, pour le meilleur ou pour le pire". We were required to create a 1 minute film around this theme.

The entire project was put together at school, in association with 3 of my classmates: David Calvet, Clément Bréchot and Maxence Martin. We worked on this project for a month, including conception and production.
I worked on the screenplay, the schedule, the global work organisation... I created the first final images of the film, and worked on the graphic research. I also worked on the paintwork of the decors, and of a lot of the characters.

This is an engraving project with polystyrene sheet: Printing with one or two colors. I added in the slide show one of my reshearch for the engraving with two colors.

Acrylics painting

Some of my painting for school:
-I had to depict a female model's face over 4 sessions of 6 hours in the medium of our choice. I chose Acrylics, it was my first attempt with this medium.
-I had to imagine three lightning atmosphere for the same decor and paint them in the size and medium of our choice. I chose Acrylics, second attempt with this medium.

Conception of a fictive one animation movie

We had to prepare all the conception of a fictive one animation movie (graphic reshearch, screenplay, story-board...). I chose to work on a urban universe, and speak about its problem with graphiti, the dominant art form in this place. I also wanted to translate the evolution of the canvas (the wall) over time.
